Twitter can be a great way to waste some time, but with the help of some applications it can also help you to be more productive. In this post we will take a look 10 of the best.

1. Twit2do – A simple to do list, login with your twitter credentials and you can add items from the site or via twitter by sending an @twit2do reply.

1

2. Remember the Milk – A more featured task manager which integrates with twitter, they also offer an iPhone app, Blackberry app, gmail integration and more.

2

3. Track Daily Goals – “Accomplish your life goals with public commitment on Twitter – use the #dailygoals hashtag in your tweets to get started.”

3

4. Twitter Calendar – Use as a private calendar or for publicising events.

4

5. Tweetans – Community driven site – ask a question via tweet and receive answers from other members.

5

6. 21 Tweets – For people wanting to establish a new habit, post 21 tweets in 21 days to help establish that habit – aims to work like a personal coach.

6

7. Twaitter – A tweet scheduler, allows you to setup tweets to be sent out at specific times using an outlook-style calendar. Also allows you to schedule recurring tweets, translation and a spell checker.

7

8. Tweet Later – “Schedule tweets, auto-follow and auto-welcome messages, and email keyword alerts.”

8

9. Hoot Suite – One of my favourite twitter apps, Hoot suite provides a very nice web interface for twitter which allows you to manage multiple twitter profiles, schedule tweets to be sent at a specific time, track click throughs on your links. Includes a handy bookmarket so you can post links from your browser to multiple profiles.

9

10. Twitrans – Send an @ message and get your tweet translated by real human translators.
