These days I’m find that I have quite a few Twitter accounts – my personal account, plus I register a new account for each new website I launch. It can be a pain managing all these Twitter accounts using their web interface so in this post Im going to take a look at apps which make this easier for you.

Web Apps

1. Matt – Multiple account twitter tweeting. Matt makes it easy to post to multiple Twitter accounts without having to log into each one every time.

2. Hoot Suite – “HootSuite is the ultimate Twitter toolbox. With HootSuite, you can manage multiple Twitter profiles, pre-schedule tweets, and measure your success.”

I fail to see how matt is number one, matt is very annoying, it rarely tweets to all my accounts, tweetdeck is a perfect substitte to this.

I’m a big fan of Hootsuite. The ability to schedule tweets on multiple accounts and also find out how many people clicked your links is outstanding. Yes, the layover bar at the top of each page linked is annoying, but not any more annoying than the Facebook version.

FlashTweet.com is also another great service that allows you to manage multiple twitter accounts at once! You can also discover who you are following that is following you back, mass follow users based on search terms, unfollow multiple friends at once, schedule tweets in advance to run throughout the week, insert RSS feeds that will automatically tweet the title and link of your blog or another site

What about BlackBerry applications for multiple accounts? Or at least a write-up for multiple twitter account management for mobile devices, but I’d like to find one for my BlackBerry Tour.

Cheers!

You didn’t mention Tweetdeck at all, is it not for multiple users? I’m new enough on twitter than I don’t have any of this type of account. I am looking for one application which will allow multiple users including me to post on a group twitter voice, and just me to post on my own twitter name or names. I also need the ability to schedule tweets when I’m not here. Will Hootsuite do all this? Will Twit bot? Will Twit bot take pictures for posting? Can you help me understand? Where do I go to find these answers, which I need ASAP!

@Linda
I just covered wep apps in this post, will go into mobile apps and desktop apps at a later date.
But yeah Tweetdeck will let you manage several accounts.
I prefer Hootsuite though – they have just released an upgraded version as well.

This is very helpful — thanks. Am curious how Tweetdeck differs from Hootsuite?

I’m a HootSuite user. I have tried many other web clients, but this one stands out.

The only big drawback ( a real show stopper for me ) is the blatant lack of followers-management. You can follow/unfollow people via their tweets in the friends- or keywords-feed, but you can’t add a new follower. So every time I receive a mail telling me people are following me and I want to follow them back, I have to manually go to twitter.com, (sign off) and log into the specific twitter account to follow them back. It kind of beat the whole purpose of having a client managing multiple twitter accounts.
